...about a week or two depending on the temperature. Did you make 5 gallons? How much priming sugar did you use at bottling? Would like to hear more about your bottling process.
A trick a learned when bottling in the kitchen at home, and to keep the bride happy, it is helpful if you have a dishwasher with a front opening drop down door... then you can put the bottles on the open door when filling with beer. Any of the spilled beer is on the door and when you are done just shut the door, no mess or cleanup. Problem I have now is we have a dishwasher with two pull out drawers so I have to put a heavy screen across the top of an open drawer to let the beer drip down inside.
i made two gallons and i havent bottled yet.. i will be botteling this week. so i havent determined how much sugar yet.
Two (2) gallon recipe...eh? I am curious, what does the recipe say for the amount of priming sugar (corn sugar, not table sugar)?
My guess is that you will be using about 0.3 cups... or a just shy of 1/3 cup of priming sugar. This is important since you do not want flat beer or not want to blow up the bottles.
Once you get the bug, move up to the 5 gallon brew... I am making 10 gallons at a time now.
