Weird Electrical Issues
Weird Electrical Issues
Hey Guys,
A little help please. I have been off of FTE for a couple of weeks - Out in BFE, northwest Nebraska working a hail storm. The strangest thing - left the laptop running in the truck overnight and all day today. Went to start the truck and ""weak battery"". Jumped it off and it runs fine (I thought), starts and all accessories work. My issue is - Guages work but the fuel guage reads low (I just topped it off last night) Also the throttle response is very lethargic. No codes - No CEL. Maybe it just has low voltage and needs to charge for a while
Any Ideas?

i would think it is low voltage as well, possibly the alt is overworked trying to charge the low battery and run all the electronics. try running the truck for a bit with as little electricity running as possible. ie no lights, radio, ac, etc.
Now I am getting a 2106 TAC code. I think that might be related to the fact that I recharged my K&N the day before I made the 1800 mile drive to Nebraska. I will give the TB a good cleaning tomorrow.
The fuel guage is reading full now.
