4x4 lights blinking

hi i have a 04 expedition and the 4x4 high and 4x4 low lights blink 3 times when driving in 2 wd they blink about every few minutes any help would be great i shure do not like going to the dealer as they will rip you off every time.

That is an indication the last change to the mode (to 2wd, to 4hi, etc.) did not complete successfully. I am not familiar with the '04, but hopefully someone will chime in with more details.

04 FX4 ABS and 4x4 lights

I also have this problem... Changed brakes including rotors on all four corners, drove about 100 miles, Amber ABS light came on, 20 miles later Red Brake light came on, 5 miles later 4x4 lights (high and low together) blink 3 times then go out for a few minutes then do it agian over and over, then I got a check engine light with a wrench symbol and power on truck is limited... wierd all this at one time... Took to Autozone for a scan "NO codes"... Brake related? Dealer says $100.00 to look at... we all know what that meens

Anyone out there have any further ideas? on brake job had to replace rf caliper, bled same extensively... fluids are all full...
