Rob, might I reccomend the Springfield XD 9mm, my father in law was looking over my shoulder, says you couldnt go wrong one bit with a Ruger 9mm either.
I'm starting to fancy the New Beretta PX4 SubCompact.......look into them and let me know what happens.
Thanks for the recommendation Drew... I'm pretty sure the Springfield XD 9mm is the one my wife was leaning towards. My sister has a .40 Springfield that she really likes....
(I wonder if I should be worried with all the women I know being armed??? Guess I better be careful not to tick them off! lol)

That is for damn sure Rob... better not tick them off !!!!!
There is a nice gun shop in Sioux Falls with an indoor range. They've got quite a few demo guns you can try out before buying. The wife and I are planning to do that sometime so she can figure out what she wants.
There is a place down here called the Bullet Hole, that has the same deal. I took the wife there once, but she didn't stay on the range, too loud for her!
I'm having a hard time on the indoor range with the lighting, etc... I can actually hit my targets when I'm outside. But inside, I'm all over the place. It's the first time I've ever tried an indoor range, so I'm hoping I'll get it figured out.

Rob, have them turn the lights on next time you go. You'll find it much easier to shoot that way.....
Whenever I go to the range, the first thing I do is go through my "stress relief" exercise. I load 15 rounds in the Berretta's mag, and pop them off as fast as possible, not worrying about my aim. It's amazing how much better I feel after that!
