Finally pulled the trigger
Well after looking and thinking for months, I finally drove a new rig home. I ended up getting a 2010 F-350 4X4 CC with V-10 Auto and the 172" WB. I got the XLT but still got lots of little things like leather, backup camera, trailer tow package, camper package, 4.10 gears. The color is the only thing that I don't really like. I got black. Although I love the looks of black, I don't have the time to keep it looking like it should but with the smokin' deal I got and great interest rate (even by Alaska standards!), I'm not complaining!!! Will try to get some pics posted.
I had an '08 with the 6.4 and wasn't happy with it. Had an '01 with the V-10 and was really pleased with it. So I was really trying to get the V-10 before they all went away.
Its going to get broken in quickly as we are leaving for the Haul Road up to the north slope for some caribou hunting. Hmmm...400 miles of gravel road

congrats! they are making some great deals on '10s right now. i'm agree'd with you on black but i think the truck im going to end up with today is going to be black also but not much choice when buying used
