Hi All
My '98 Explorer produced a nice set of error codes last week, before limping home.

P1747 Electronic pressure control solenoid – short circuit<O</O
P0135 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)<O</O
P0155 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2, Sensor 1)<O</O
P1409 Electronic Vacuum Regulator Control Circuit Malf.<O</O
P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical<O</O
P0750 Shift Solenoid A Malfunction <O</O
P0755 Shift Solenoid B Malfunction <O</O
P0760 Shift Solenoid C Malfunction <O</O
P0765 Shift Solenoid D Malfunction
The first garage that I went to, told me that they would have to strip my gear box, so I went home and did some research on here. The opinion was it had to be an electrical fault as all of the above is on the same circuit.
I then went to another garage with my research they checked the wiring and found a dirty connector. All sorted and it only cost me 2 hours labour.

The first shop you went to must have been "Bend Over Motors" every town has several of them. You were fortunate to have found an honest shop for the problem.
