What do yall think about old fashioned cherry bombs? I have a chance to get a set of new ones for free.I know I have to do something after I get my motor built,I still have the original 86 drum muffler on mine, its got a good sized hole in it and when you hit on it you can hear the rust rattiling around
I had good luck with the 4" DynoMax ultra-flow muffler I installed with a complete midpipe and tailpipe - sounds great and got a $25 rebate so the price sounded as good as the muffler. They also make them in other sizes...
they have a very loud "blat" to them Rick, especially after you left off it or downshift.
it's basically a straight pipe loud noise, with blat added.
it seems to be a loved or hated sound (or noise lol.)
better hope your not loaded up and going up hill with a cop on your tail.the probability of a ticket would be high (at least without a turbo.)
I dont mind some noise, just not that ear piercing stuff,it will be a while before I get to that stage anyway,Im trying to get me a pile of parts up before I dive any further! The bed comes off next week to get the tanks up to snuff and the old muffler is right there !
yeah it was apply named "smoke house" lol yeah it was a loud SOB lol every body knew when i was coming. my friend told me he heard me for 2 minutes before i showed up. and he's a quarter mile off the highway in the trees lol and i was just hummin along at 60
the glasspacks made it sound like a mid 50's hot rod. the way they popped and cackled.
