Well, my truck (early 99) had a new FORD tranny put in prior to me buying it. Ford did the work and the previous owner told me it had a 1 year warranty. Well that year has expired. I have around 140k miles on it and it was put in around 100k miles. My questions is what do i need to be doing to keep it working as long as possible?
I have a superchips 1705 set on the highest setting and im running 315/75's i know neither of which are good for it but honestly these are huge trucks and are pretty tuff.
Is there anything I should know about general maintenance? Flushing tranny? Chaning fluid??
Andy recomendations on type of fluid/filter??? Thanks in advance guys!
The quicker shifts will help the trans as well as a bigger cooler or a second one in line with the original if you tow. Probably not much benefit if you don't tow. I think synthetic fluid helps a bit
