Ever notice?
when you understand that human nature will never change, then you will understand that there will always be wars. it doesn't matter who is in charge, human nature will find a way to screw things up. our great-grand children will face these problems too.
I have every confidence in his judgement, and calling him a warmonger insults me.
He is the Man, where Clinton was the boy!!!

While not everybody may agree with president Bush, he is a strong leader. He believes in America and he believes in our military. He's not taking his job or the decisions concerning this war lightly. I don't think any possible military action now against Iraq is for a ratings boost. This thing with Iraq didn't just happen overnight. President Bush believes this conflict with Iraq is part of the war in terroism. I think our military supports this comander in chief as well. Any military types out there who can give us a sense of how our military feels about this president? Does our military trust this president more so than our last?
We elect a president for all sorts of reasons. War was not on our minds when we cast our vote back in 2000. But now war has been declared on us. We have been attacked first. We can't sit back and do nothing and allow ourselves to be attacked again. We are hip deep in it and we need a strong leader who is not afraid to grab hold of the reigns. President Bush has boldly steped up to the plate. It will take more than a missile aimed at a terroists camp to end this war. It will take more than sanctions. Our enemy isn't interested in talking. It's gonna take a strong military assult against our enemy. President Bush knows this. He has told us to prepare ourselves. This is the kind of leader America needs. He talked a tough game post 9/11 and America was united in it's agreement that terroists and those who harbor them will be brought to justice. Now it's time to back it up. America is worth fighting for. Time to seperate the wheat from the chaff.
We are definitley in a better position with bush at the helm that we would have been with Al Gore, considering our current world affairs.
In a time of war ...dont you want a war monger to lead? I would think so...we couldnt have counted on Clinton or Gore to stand up and take charge after 9/11.
But the Florida vote count was a shameful ordeal, does everyone believe it was a coincidence that George ended up winning Florida after all the counts and re-counts? I dont.
I dont think we have had a decent choice for president......not one that I can root for, or be glad they won the election, since I have been able to vote.
If we do have to bomb Iraq I hope that we do so without U.N. approval. GET US OUT OF THE U. N. !!!!
let them go the way of the league of nations.
One of the great things about this country is the freedom of speech... If I have opinions, I am allowed to voice them. And so are you. You wont hear me bashing anyone for not having the same opinion as I do.
Actually Jimmy Carter had the highest IQ.
What is it?
Nixon also said that he was gonna bomb Vietnam back into the stone age, and he almost did had he not been stopped by Congress.
First off, they were in the stone age before the bombing started. I thought Barry Goldwater said that.

Shady dealings in Florida? The only shadow I saw was cast upon the Democratic party. Shameful indeed.
Count on Clinton or Gore take charge? Nope. Agreed. But I'm sure they would eventualy come around after a poll to tell them what they should do. Yes, we are better off with Bush than Gore. No comparission.
Freedom of speech, among others is a great thing. Too bad those pesky musulim extremists disagree and want to take all that away from us. They even hate us because of the friends we choose. (Israel)
Passing judgement too quickly? Tell that to the Dem's. Seems they have already decided that any judicial pick from Bush is already in the can. Why?
The wheat will be seperated from the chaff on all sides and the war on terrorism is the threshing floor. Yeap, time will tell.

I was reading your post, and was pretty impressed with your knowledge and ability to present some detailed examples to support your point of view. I don't necessarily think that your entirely correct, especially in the MacArthur analogy, but that's beside the point I'm trying to make now.
The ability to express yourself in a discussion like this logically, objectively, and without becoming overly emotional is a skill. A statement like this one, for me anyway, really destroys your credibility. You were doing a good job of expressing yourself and your viewpoints, and then you ended with this. It's a personal attack on someone you know nothing about, that only serves to make you look arrogant. Stating that the reason someone disagrees with you is because they're too stupid to understand you really has no place in a discussion, and only reflects poorly on you.
I certainly don't mean to patronize/insult/flame you here, I've come to look forward to your replies. I wish there were more young people like yourself out there that took an interest and bothered to educate themselves and express their opinions.
Keep it up.
