one peice glass front
has anyone used a one piece fiberglass front end from oblosite ford parts ,I am thinking of going that way and am open for any comments on going that way (54 F 100) Thanks Jim VA.

Our resident published author Brother John (JNIOLON) had an article in Classic Trucks sometime in the last year on 1 piece frontend installation, beleive it was a Fairlane brand. I beleive it is on his most excellent website along with other very useful information and excellent opinions. There are others posts on this in the archives.

The front end of my F-3 is going to be all fiberglass except for the hood. As I remember, the concensus was that the one piece front doesn't really fit as well as you might expect and quite a bit of work is involved to make it fit right. Fairlane makes a lot of the one piece noses regardless of where you buy it.

one peice glass front
I am one of the guys that have a glass nose on my truck. Mine is a 48 F1 with a Fairlane front end on it. The nose is not a good fit right out of the box and you will have to do quite a bit of work to it to make it fit. There are some pics of it in my gallery under " tilt nose fit". I am just getting back to working on it again and will post more pics and info on it as I progress.
