2011 f250 console
my new 2011 lariat has the center fold down seat (tan leather), sure wish it had the console with more storage as I will never need the seat. is e-bay my best choice for the swap or is an after market option? and what previous years are the same? thanks for any in put you may have for me.

eBay, Craigslist, and here are you're best bets for finding one. They're wicked expensive for some reason, people think that because the parts to make one totals out to $1400 from Ford that the thing is worth about that much. A friend of mine spent six months looking and got one for $150 for a late model 150, so patience pays off.

It will be a challenge finding a 2011 center console with the trucks being so new. You could get a 08-2010 console on e-bay for around $150-$300 depending on condition. The 08-2010 should bolt into your existing seat mounts when you remove the center seat. The 2011 seat barckets and holes shouldn't have changed with the 2011.

they have rear air outlets, and to get that they made the console run all the way to the dash (to feed the vent hoses thru).. and 4 drink holders are in the extension to the dash..

Dealer mistake ?
That is one option I made a point of pointing out to the salesman when I ordered my 2011 F350 I said I didn't want the seat just that console. I sure hope they get my order right should have my new truck any day now.

The 2011 and 08-2010 consoles are different, however if someone buys a truck with the flip down center seat/console and wants to replace it, a 08-2010 console will work. The 08-2010 console just wouldn't go all the way to the dash, like the 2011's.

I know this post is a little old, but maybe someone can help. I have a tan 2010 F250 console in my truck but I am interested in converting to the 2011 console. Does anyone have experience with this yet? what all is required in the dashboard to swap it around? It looks like the radio trim panel is the same but the lower dash needs to be changed with the addition of the full console - I'm not sure what all is required to integrate into the air for the vents, but I don't think it can be that difficult. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. Also - once I do this if anyone is interested in the 2010 console I would like to offset the new console cost a little..

Yes, I would like to put the entire 2011 console in complete with AC outlet and air duct work. I have a lot of experience with retrofitting so I don't think it will be difficult, it's just expensive to gather all of the pieces.
