they are about 400lbs w/o the transfer case.
there are 6 converter nuts, they are 14mm.... a 9/16" will work as well
note were the bellhousing bolts go, there are a few different lengths

unbolt the dipstick tube from the right valve cover.
I also want to remove my trans so I can upgrade the internals with at Transgo kit.
I don't know about the torqueshift but I do know that the earlier trannnies didn't have to be dropped to put in the TransGo kit. My C6 was done just by dropping the valve body.

There is some kind of snap ring. That is the reason why It would have to be removed. But then again I don't think Our trans needs a new snap ring, I think it just needs the valve body upgrades.
