460 EFI Miss

I am on just about to go nuts!!! My truck runs great as long as i keep the rpm's above 2000 or below 1500. So I have a miss between 1500 and 2000 rpm's. I have changed everything ignition wise, fuel pressure is 34lbs, timing at 10 maybe a little more advanced but not much. no codes. just can't find anyone who has had this problem or anyone who know what it might be. any help?

sorry i dont know either. but have you tried checking trouble codes?

ps. as an owner of a 460 with questions i have noticed that there seems to be less knowledge or at the very least less answers for us.

i have thought about it being the TPS, but i had one laying around and put it on and didn't make a difference. just hate to spend 30 bucks for a new one and it not change anything. might go ahead and do it when i get time. but i have done everything. just weird cause it was running fine and one night just starting acting up, timing backed off and started running like it was to far advanced. changed the dizzy and retimed and runs fine except the miss. I am used to hearing nobody knows whats wrong. i have asked everyone. codes to come through for TPS but I sometimes have had a scanner tell me nothing was wrong and there was.

does it only miss once the engine is warmed up? 460's run pretty hot and throw off a lot of heat. i had to put spark plug wire heat insulators on are 460 so it wouldnt interfere with the spark.

Thanks for letting me know. I wish that would fix mine, i changed mine and it did help a little bit. it still jerks at around 1800 or so, but once it's pass 2000 rpm's and runs just fine. don't know. i think all my electrical is coming off and i am buying the adapter plate for the the carb.

well the truck as been sitting again, i changed out the map sensor and put in another dizzy. still nothing, i did play with the timing a little, and the jerking kinda went away a little. it kinda drivable now. but still not fully fixed. i had to guys tell me could be the cam. said the a lobe on the cam could be gone. still find that hard to believe, but it does sound like something timing related since i got it to run better, i would think it would do it all the time. it still cranks over hard after it's warm.
