Hello everyone. My first post here so I'll try to be as painless as I can.
Recently my Dad passed away and I inherited his 1964 f100.I remember the day my dad bought the truck.I was with him at the time and just a little kid.The truck is original and was always garaged.I would like to know if anyone knows what color red the stripe on the hood.door.and bed moulding is.The moulding is in great shape, just the paint has faded and been waxed off over the years.I appreciate the help and will post pics when I pick it up next weekend.Thank you.
Scott
the shade of red...I dunno but one way is to take one off and hope theres a sliver of color under the rolled edge if there is a snippet of one on the molding...its very close to the insert background shade though...the repops are a different shade of red then original...
be careful in undoing the clips...a lil shot of wd 40 or pb blaster on a q tip would work...

Thanks cs65.I was hoping to not have to take one off,but I could if necessary. The f100 emblem on the side of the hood is in xlnt shape so maybe they could match off that.
this is just me personally, but I hate it when colors do not match, so if I were doing a 63/4 with the red moulding, I'd paint it rangoon red/Wimbledon (or corinthian if 63) white along with the moulding in rangoon.

Who is reproducing 1963/64 side mouldings? AFAIK-No one.
I assume, however that you are actually refering to the color of the reproduced hoodsideemblems, but you didn't make that clear.
