Odometer all zeros?

Odometer all zeros?
Yesterday I started the truck and the trip odometer was solid zeros with hash marks through them, like every little LCD was lit up. Truck was running for 30 seconds or so while I was trying to get to the camera on my phone to snap a pic. But before I could get the camera, the display went back to showing the miles driven since last reset.
Any ideas on what's happening here?
