towing car trailer

I have a 91 f-250 with a straight 6 and 4 speed creeper. i want to tow an 1800 lb car trailer with hydraulic brakes 90 miles, pick up a 3500 lb car and go 90 miles back. i haven't towed before. i have tuned the truck and believe it to be in good running order. i have several sets of tires would a different size reduce my strain. i have 235/85 16E on it now, but it came with 215/85 16E, and i also have a set of 8.75 16 8 ply that are way smaller. any tips would be greatly appreciated. its a utility body, but there is nothing in the tool boxes.
thanks!

you're towing it 90 miles and then you're done? i don't think you need to worry about changing tires or doing anything different.

just make sure the lights work when you hook up the trailer and you should practice pulling the trailer around before you put a load on it. Particularly when backing up as that takes some practice. when you go around turns go as wide as possible and SLOW. keep in mind you're pulling something at all times and you'll be fine. nothing worse than towing something and then making a left across traffic and forgetting you need enough time to get a loaded trailer across the intersection too!

You'll be fine. I wouldn't worry about it at all, just run the tires you have (unless they are cracked and rotted).

And try to keep low speeds, and watch out for strong side winds, just in case the trailer decides to switch places with you.

How strong of a side wind do you need to push a 3/4 ton truck and 5300 lbs of car and trailer into switching places?

Taking it easy is good advice but I think you're being a bit of an alarmist.

Make sure the brakes and lights work correctly. Thats all. And make sure you have enough tongue weight otherwise the trailer will sway out of control
