I got my truck out briefly today to move a few boards to my in-laws for the tree house. This tree house was first built when my wife was a kid, now my youngest wants it fixed up a bit. It's really just a platform on the tree.

Both the tree and tree house are looking questionable..

Yep, tree is in bad shape. Trunk is about hollow.
Tree house, yep that too. I had just removed a bunch of boards and I'm trying to figure out how to make it level and more sturdy.
I was using the nicer boards to see what it would take to make parts of it level.
The plywood entry....no telling how old that is.

Hey Tug Captain,
That's impressive! 8,000 lbs! Were you worried a bit?

No it just needed more air in the tires. Took them up to 85 psi and they were fine. Load rating on the 385s in the rear are 9800 lbs each at 120 psi. Never seen the overloads compressed before. Brakes with the hydroboost work really well so stopping was fine.

Looks like you have super singles on the rear. No? Looks like a really deep dish.

Yeah 385-65/22.5 rears on 12.25 wide wheel with 4-1/2" backspacing. Outside of the tire lines up with the old dually setup.

I once hauled 5 tons of old concrete on my 70 F350 flatbed dump which I had from Sept 2012 to April 2016. I sold it to buy my 55 F350. I had no idea how much I had on until I got to the scales at the landfill.

Not often you see a working Mercury truck. Gotta love a Mercuy!

That is awesome! Piano moving company. I think I know who was driving that truck back in the day. Here's a good laugh.

'54 loaded to 4800 GVW, undergoing factory engineering tests. '56 is probably closer to 48,000 GCVW.
