That is a pretty cool old setup that guy has. Good to see it still working.

Did you post pics of the bed at your house, close ups and so on? And what is your time frame for mounting it?

Yeah, it was pretty cool. He said it was in pretty good shape at one time. He has both F2 spears. I was thinking that he should sale those.
I have a bunch of pics of the bed, it is still on the trailer. I will need to drill out all the brackets and move them in a bit to fit my frame. I also need to straighten out the rear end. I will post those in the thread I started about the bed.

That was the next guess, but I came across a ford that looked really close except for the hood side panels

Here is a Ford van ('39?) on the far right at Valley Forge Military Academy & College.

I wish could of taken a picture this morning. While driving down Hwy 12 in northern Illinois this morning I saw a scene that would fit perfectly here. Someone was cutting wood on an edge of a field and had a '48-50 F-7 or 8 dump truck. The truck was unrestored and looked like it was working from the day it came out of the factory. I was running real late and didn't have time to turn around and find a way to the back road the field was located. If I get time on Friday I'm going to try to find the truck on my way back home.

Appears to be a '34 Chevrolet 1 ton. Ford's hood side panels had full louvres.

The wheels say conclusively it's a Chevy. Ten lug rear, with a blanking plate covering the five unused holes on the front. Nobody else did that. Stu

I believe all of those are Fords, I see a horse-collar 38 front row - left, some 40's, some 41's....

It looks like the back row of trucks could be '33-'34 Chevys like the panel body shown above. The Ford panel on the extreme right is a '37.

The first row, first six from the left are '39s and '40s. The bodies were built by Derham Body Co. right down the mainline in Rosemont, PA.

I got a chance to follow up on my last post above. I got out of class early and there was daylight left. I found the truck again, it was in a large field next to the freeway but I couldn't find way to get closer.

It looks like it's still being worked hard.

Hauled a chicken coop that was to be auctioned off for the Clovis FFA chapters booster club. Trip was about 7 miles.
