Vehicle Security Module
2002 F350 - Door Ajar Light stays on - horn alarm sounds whenever a door is opened. Dealer Diagnostics said to replace Vehicle Security Module (VSM).
Old PN: 2C7T-15K602-AJ as read off sticker on old part.
Was told I needed a 4C7Z 15604 AC, which I purchased today for $150.00 plus 9.75% sales tax
When I opened the box marked 4C7Z 15604 AC lo and behold inside the box the VSM sticker said the PN was 4C7T-15K602-AJ. Not sure what that means but:
There was paperwork inside the box that indicated that the new VSM needed to be programmed.
Wondering if I can replace the VSM and drive to a dealer to have it programmed. What programming is required? I don't have a keyless entry system.

I just replaced mine too and the part # ended in "AJ". It was $65 for the dealer to program. I didn't install it myself, but I did take the dash apart to make it easier to access. It solved all of the problems I was having.

Exactly what happened to me, except that I paid $98.00 to the dealer to program it. I took the dash apart as well.
All is well now, except that I only took one key fob to the dealer so I now have to program the second. I believe it is necessary to cycle the ignition switch on/off eight times, and then press one of the buttons on each fob.
I'm wondering which button --- lock or unlock??
