I use Amsoil synthetic. Great cold weather starts with 5W-40, and great hot weather protection towing in the summer with 15W40. Expensive, but worth it if you can afford. Best cold weather starting oil is synthetic.
Use the search feature and you will find enough threads on oil to make your head swim. After you read all of them you will find that someone on this forum likes just about every major brand of oil (both conventional and synthetic) and every available weight.
Bottom line is make sure you use a diesel rated oil and change it at the recommended intervals or sooner (every 5k miles for me).

K what oil do you use? Witch brand is best? and what viscosity?
Delo 400, 15-40 because we tow a lot. Change it every 5000 mi. Thought about going to the Rotella 15-40 non Syn. The Syn in our gas cars seems to create minor oil drips.
