valve seals

anyone done valve seals on a 6.9 installed in a van (E350)?
looks doable, might be tight but looks like it can be done.
this thing is using 2 to 3 quarts of oil every 100 miles.

never tried to do valve seals with heads on motor before as there was always more work to do than just that. but guess it could be done, but it will be close in a van. GOOD LUCK!!!

2 - 3 quarts per hundred miles is awful excessive for just valve seals...check your CDR valve lately? Just me, but I believe I would seek other explanation of extremely high oil usage first, because that just don't make sense.

It can be done on my 94 E350 with a 7.3 but it is very difficult and slow work. Any motor work in a van is harder.

Luck

One in the bush or half now

Half is good- and good for the environment and good for the dinosaurs, may they rest in peace.

half is good some times, this one used like 90 quarts of oil from Oregon to Arizona. so half is still a lot
