second battery?

im gonna upgrade to an electric fan kit and an electric water pump. i have decided on a 200 amp alternator. would it be possible to run a second battery off of this 200 amp alternator. im also gonna be running about 8 offroad lights and i have to power an amp for a sub. is it possible to do this or is a second alt needed. any suggestions on how i can hook this all up

My recomendation: search in off-road forums, it's pretty common for winch users to install the kind of setup you want. You won't need a second alternator, the 200 amp alternator (mean green would be a great one) will be more than enough.

Yes very easy to run a second battery. Just mount where ever you want and run + to + and - to ground.

Use 1/0 gauge wiring and good fuses or circuit breakers.

200 amp alternator is fine with 2 or more batterys.

Upgrade your grounds for better voltage too.

Alot of bronco guys run dual battery setups

Its a battery isolator.
I personally wouldn't use one in your case. Unless you have a winch..

Some easy reading about 200 amp'ers. I previously ran into a problem with my stereo, and found this. I'm not sure if its correct, but the more info the better I think.

RJM Injection Tech Why don’t you sell 200amp alternators?
