sticking caliper?
a little history, couple weeks back while backing up to trailor felt and heard pop. found the brake pad laying on the ground, the pad had come off of the metal plate. installed new rotors and pads. wire brush the calipers, checked, cleaned and lubed pins. drove 10min for slow break in, no problems, drove 20 min for mid speed break in no problems. drove about 30min to race, everything felt great, no drag, truck coast to a stop. could smell something funny like like the brakes getting hot. can only smell it around the right rear, this is where i had problems with the pad. drove home in very hard down pour so if any grease had gotten onto rotor i figuered this would have washed it off. could still smell what i think is the brakes at the right rear. what is the best way to check for a caliper sticking? could this be a problem with hoses or tubingcausing the caliper to release slowly?
