Replacement Turbo intake pipe options

Hi guys

This weekend I added a S@B intake and did the CCV mod. I don't have a wastegate solenoid anymore as well. So I wanted to replace the reducer pipe on the intake that has the CC vent with the vacuum plug for the wastegate solenoid.

Is there anything on the market that replaces this piece? Any thoughts or ideas for making one?

Thanks

I don't quite understand what you are trying to do here. Could you give more information on what you want?

I wanted to replace the part of the intake that attaches directly to the turbo. It has the CCV outlet as well as a hole for the green vacuum line that attaches to the wastegate solenoid. I'm guessing people who have done the CCV mod, cut that part of the tube off and replace it with a spare piece of tubing.

I was curious if there was some alternative and replace the entire piece so I wouldn't have the hole still in the pipe for the green line and I wouldn't need to butcher up the existing intake pipe.

Sorry if I don't have the terminology right.

OK, I see what you are talking about. All you need is a piece of 4" exhaust pipe to fit between the two tubes. Take the metal bracket off and put the pipe between the two. The green line is not a vacuum line, it releases the excess psi that is left over from the red line. The green line goes into the rubber intake line, not the metal bracket that the ccv goes into.

Take a look at the way the intake tubes are set up.

I think I understand now where the misunderstanding is. The truck had the K@N FIPS or whatever its called on it previously. The plastic intake tube that attaches to the turbo and has the CCV and green line on it is made from a single piece of plastic. From what you are saying miller_feed, I take it that the stock intake has another component that you can separate to get rid of the CCV. Does that sound right? If it is, then I still need a solution so I can get rid of the CCV.

If I got it wrong please let me know.

You are right about what I was thinking.
OK, that clears things up. If you could find a stock setup from a junk yard then you could do what I was saying. Sounds like you only need to find a way to plug/cover the hole in the plastic tube that the ccv attached to. Someone may have a way to do this using your setup.

Fill it with RTV?

I've seen some links to silicone boots that have a 45 degree bend and reduce down from 4" to 3". But given the unusual shape of the intake pipe, I couldn't tell if I could take that boot and just add a piece of aluminum pipe to bridge the rest of the way to where the S@B pipe starts. Anyone ever tried a combo like that?

You can get a 3/4 inch rubber cap from auto part store. I got one at autozone in the help section. That should take care of the ccv. Then you just need a way to cap the green line. Mabye just use another cap for that if you still have the line. If you go back to the stock setup you can get rid of the middle section with a short piece of 4 inch pipe but still need to cap the wastegate green tube.

My only problem is finding a stock setup. The truck came with the K@N setup when I bought it. There are no junk yards close to where I live and the truck is my only vehicle at this time. I was going to give the dealership near me a call but from a few posts I've read I think they were going for ~$70.

This K@N setup is causing more problems than I ever thought.
