NYPD Blue?
I remember that someone on here posted that they were a policeman for NYC. I'm just curious if the TV show is any where
close to being realistic? I've just started watching it, and enjoy it.
Any other watchers out there?
24 and Alias are pretty good too. Your thoughts?

If memory serves, NYC is quick to walk out on the people. I believe garbage collecters have struck, Fireman, ticket takers,and a tad of Blue Flu from time to time.
Many other cities wouldn't even think of abandoning the people like that.

I saw an interview with Dennis Franz about the reality of the show. He said they have NYPD advisors, and that the NYPD is very satisfied with the realism of the show.
I have not seen any reactions from individual members of the NYPD.

Did anyone see the first scene of the 2/25/03 episode where Theo walked-in on Connie in the bathroom just after she disrobed? I have never seen so much T&A on ABC before. Usually NYPD Blue's "nude scenes" are quick flashes across the screen, but this time, they had a closeup of her backside for a good 3 seconds at least; and it WAS closeup!
I wish that I had recorded that one, it was almost good enough to go in my hardcore collection

"NYPD Blue" is not at ALL real, because in real life the room doesn't keep moving up and down!! It's as if they're in L.A. with one long, continuous earthquake. If there's one thing I could do in life, it would be to tell that ABC cameraman to HOLD THAT CAMERA STILL!!! Drives me absolutely nuts!

I have a dedicated cable line and VCR set to record in the NYPD Blue time slot every week - they WILL rerun that jewel and I WILL HAVE IT. Talk about a battery charge! YIKES!!!!
