EGR change?
1999 e 250 6 cyl. Im lacking power uphill and there is a slight smell of unburnt gas. I have a po401 code.could they be related?I was going to change the egr but read that my not be the problem. is there any troubleshooting i should do or just change egr and see what happens.also,I recently changed wires and plugs.

To all that didnt reply,Thanks.So I did some more troubleshooting and found I had no vacum at regulator.I traced line and found the rubber coupler where line meets steel line was dry rotted and snaped in half.I changed it and no more ce light..50 cents and Im done.check your lines before spending money on parts you dont need.Also almost every post I read said the pressure sensor was the problem because they go bad alot on fords,not always the problem!
