I'm not as smart as project and blue.
What is the year and transmission. And what in the world are you talking about?? The truck stumbles when using cruse control? or while cruising and at what RPM and speeds?
The truck is a 2001 f150 it stumbles after I speed up on highway going at a steady pace, it jerks , but when I press gas pedal to speed up it stops as soon as I reach my speed I softly ease off pedal n it begins to jerk or stumble..
Ok. I just wanted you to come to this point and learn it's important to be accurate before I said the following..
.
NOW, you have a 99% chance it is one bad coil.
To find out which one, use a Scanner to look at mode 6, test 53 (as Ford calls it).
This is the 8 individual cylinder misfire monitors.
The one/s with the counts out of limits is/are your trouble.
Replace the coil.
Good luck.
Ok I got a chance to go to AutoZone today.got the coil swapped it out. Took for a test drive, seems to be doing better, no stumbling or jerking, I put diagnostic on it because cel still on n it's still giving me same codes..
What coil did you ID as a fault?
The faulty coil for this type of drivability normally sets no code.
It has to be found by looking at the misfire monitors.
There is a explanation behind why it sets no code.
Good luck.
