AOD shaking?? in 3rd gear

My truck just started to shake when I go from OD and slow down to about 25mph. As I start to accelerate slowly No down shift. it starts to shake really bad? Anyone know what causes this? Is it the tranny or eng? If I go faster it down shifts and it doesn't do it. It only does it when it doesn't downshift. The tranny has less than 10k mi. on rebuild. Any help would really help.

TV cable installed and adjusted correctly?

What 85e says. However when was the last tune-up? Have you checked for vacuum leaks around the engine?

well funny you ask. The eng. was installed 1 yr ago and it was running fine. So I don't see how the TV cable would be wrong? As for the vacum leaks I'm sure it may have some but again it was running fine. Its a 90 mustang power train in a 79 Ford truck. So that's why I say it may have a vacum leak here or there. Everything was retro fitted for this truck. I haven't done a tune up since the eng. was put in.

Any and all linkages, cables etc should be checked. The TV cable/linkage is critical to trans life.

Also the basic vacuum leak and tune-up checks should be done.

Sometimes conversions and adaptations have durability problems or adjustment issues, etc, and can have these kinds of issues at low miles.

update

Guys you ain't gonna believe how simple this was?? The mechanic said the firing order was off and #7 plug was fouled up. Installed new plug, set right firing order and runs like a champ.
