Cobra, there are a bunch of screws all around the dash pad both top and bottom. You'll need to pull the glove box door, instrument panel and maybe a few uther separate pices to find them all. Mostly all 7mm 0r 8mm heads. Im looking for the last one or two and mine will be out to put in the new heater box.
Remove the glove box, and radio. #10 socket, 1/4 inch drive helps alot. 6 or 8 nuts. I will track down pics of when I did mine. (I did a write-up on here when I replaced mine,,,) Very easy job.

Dash pad was like $16, from a pick-it yard. Was grey, but painted it black because my interior was too much red for my liking...
Just to make myself loook a little less stupid, I was speaking of the whole dash. After hrddrv enclosed his pics, it occured to me that you might have meant just the trim that was cracked up in his before pic. That one is real easy as he stated with just a few studs running down the center with the 10mm nuts easily (ok pretty easily) accesible through the radio and glove box holes.
And for my info, hrddrv, what did you use for paint? You did a nice jod and I just might steal some ideas.
As for the paint, I used Krylon Flat Black fan-spray, 3 coats after a good cleaning and light sanding before painting. Now, if I can only keep my grandaughter's feet off the glovebox door, but, hey, ya gotta love 'em.
Kick panels take a hit now and then, but, it's an easy fix...
