well that nut was not lose.thought i found it.the oil pressure sensor on the front of the left head was cracked and i changed it out but still the same thing.then i found the wires that goto it have become mushie so i unhooked the batts so not to short anything out until i can fix them.so im off to zbay to look for pigtails for it and the oil temp on the back of the oil res.
anyone that has a line on these pigtails or can tell me were to get them would help me out a bunch
thanks john
ok off work agian.trying to get this truck up to par agian.well changed motor harness cause it got fuel on it and i thought it may be causing this problem.and i changed out the sensor in pic(icp i think)
with another one i had and still no change.started it up yesterday and still same problem. starts runs fine for 4 or 5 sec then CEL comes on and starts idleing up and down real fast at idel.get it off idle and its not as bad and if i hold it around 1500 rpms it seems to run better and smooth out and it will idle right for awhile.if i kill it.when i restart it CEL is off till it starts doing it agian after 4or 5 sec.going to try a diff CPS today and see if it mite help.going back to a buddys that has a snapon scanner and see if it will pull any new codes.as last time all it showed was some codes with high or low fuel pressure.
well thanks guys got it fixed and most of you were right on the IPR was'nt lose but bad borrowed one from a buddy and its fixed agian.just took me some time to find out what all these sensors are called i kept thinking the one you guys were talking about is the one on the head.but i was wrong its sensor not a regulator
much thanks guys
i'm slowly learning these things and how to work on them.now back to the rebuilding on the other motor.but i can take a little more time now
