Hey guys, the front seats in my e350 work van are a mess.
They also offer little to no support and seem to hurt my back.
Was hoping to pick up another set at a junkyard.
Found a few sets that are cheap enough to be worth it.
But i don't know what is bolt in and what's not.
Most listings i find don't combine years, they just say what they are out of.
'75-'91 have a different bolt to the floor pattern than '92 & later. How late, I'm not sure.
You could search for seats on line from van/RV suppliers and see the year breakdown for different seats and seat bases they have. i.e. "part no. 12345 fits '75-'91, part 67890 fits '91-'xx" for example.
I have some seats with bases that I'm trying to get rid of, (ad in classifieds) but the cost to ship them would buy you new ones on your end even if I gave them away for free....
Its not so much the bolt pattern that is the problem...its the seat belt mounting that is the problen.I tried to fit a set of 2000 seats into my 95 and it was next to impossible.I finally gave up.rick
I'm having much the same problem on my '00 cargo van. Maybe because it's the cheapie version. There's not much adjustment forward/back and it's near impossible to get out of the seat to get to the rear of the van. I had a '84 GMC van that would push all the way back to make it easy to get to the back and it was really comfortable, too.
I'm gonna look for something like that and weld the bases in place if they don't bolt up. I'll move the present buckets to the rear. I moved the cage to just in front of the reat wheel wells so there 7' of rear 'cargo' space and a generous area for passengers behind the driver.
