Junkyard find??

Ok, tried to search the forum for this, but my iPhone apparently doesn't want to do it...anyway, I was recently on a trip to a local junkyard scouting some parts ford my 84 f250, not that anyone cares...BUT upon searching the dearly departed, I accidentally found a 92-97 f350 4x4 with the (front) axle still under it...starting to sink into the ground. My excitement was cut short when I noticed that the knuckles, shafts, and steering linkage was missing. That was before my dumb @$$ noticed that all the parts were in the bed...well, almost. Seems to be missing all the brake parts and one hub (???) otherwise, it's all there. Unknown ratio as of yet (why didn't I check?!), I'm almost certain it'll need rebuilt, and I'm gettin back with the owner in about 40 minutes to check on a price. So out of curiosity, what would this be worth? And is there a possibility that I could scavenge anything (brakes, hub, etc.) from a ttb50? Bunches of "no's" won't surprise me, but it doesn't hurt to ask and this beats buying an entire truck just for a front axle. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

I've read that ttb50's are the same as d60's from the spindles out, any truth to this? Also wondering about brakes. Would ttb calipers work?

92 to 97 D-60 will be a ball joint front end. not as desirable as a king pin front, but still better than a D-50.
yes, the D-50 parts will swap rite on to the D-60

the rotors will swap onto the D60 hub, and the calipers are the same on the single wheel setups. i am pretty sure the hubs are the same also.

Gotta wait til Monday to pick up the d60, but I did score a set of d50 spindles, hubs, and rotors for $50 at another yard. Rotors look a little "iffy", the calipers were junk. So if calipers from a d50 would work...might the ttb44 calipers and rotors work? If not then damn they're close! And yea, I'd love to find a mid 80's kingpin 60, but they're scarce around here...heck, (non-stupid duty) 60 fronts in general are hard to find. But this is only going in my "work" truck, it might see some light off-roading. I have a 78 kingpin 60 front for my trail rig

Btw, forgot to ask, but does anyone know what "c5" means under axle code on the vin sticker? Guy at the yard told me that he could tell me gear ratios using that, and after I checked he was effing clueless...just said "they only came with 3.54's or 4.10's". No big either way, just curious.

Might be able to find it in the 92-97 forum up the page some, but in my personal experience a lot of those trucks were 4.10. Was it a gas motor? Nice score, btw

as per the 88 service manual. a C-5 axle code denotes a 6250 lb capacity with a 4.10 gear ratio.

usually the gassers had the 4.10's and the diesels had 3.54's from what I've seen....

IIRC the ttb spindles will not work. They are 6bolt whereas the d60s are 5bolt. The hubs/rotors/lockouts are the only things that will interchange.

And Tom wtf are you doin out of the club?

Thx capt. I have to admit, I'm a little proud of this score. Truck is a 93 F350 with a 460/e40d. I'm hoping I end up with 4.10's, as I've had a kingpin 60 with 3.55's for a few years now, and it needs regeared for trail use. The "dd" truck can live with 3.55's but I bet the 351w/c6 combo won't care for it. Then again, it's high time she got a 435/205 twin stick

I know I'm kind of a half-noob but I'm willing to bet my lunch that you have 4.10's in that 60 you just scored....though I have to admit my hung over *** won't really value lunch today.
