Not quite on topic, but trying to help a friend. He has a 1958 Ford car that came with a 352, and it now has a 390. This car has a fan clutch, but I do not believe it came with one. The clutch is obviously aftermarket, since it is non-thermal.
So, any of y'all have access to a '58 car and can tell me what fan it has? Oh, as far as I can recall, Ford didn't put shrouds on the '57-'59 cars. I have never seen a vehicle with a fan clutch that did not have a shroud.
