Hunting over bait is probably more sporting than the "road hunters" around here.........cruise the logging roads and take shots of opportunity from your rig, just make sure you do not shoot a ODFW decoy deer/elk, it will be expensive.
I also dont sit by the bait pile, i just use it as a way to get the deer to stop on my land. Its all private land around here and most people dont let you hunt.
I think everyone missed the point. He asked how to get the big horny ones to come in. Me, I just tie a virgin to a tree and wait. ROFL, LOL, HA HA Tee tee hee..............
oh ya the best times are spent up in a tree w a bow or shot gun. no rifles here that would be to ez
Ya im not to much up on rifle hunting, but i do like to bow hunt alot. Never did any shotgun huntin before(except bird). I use a ground blind instead of a tree stand. Not a lot of big trees in my area that are strong enough for a tree stand.
i put out corn for deer just so i can pick the fattest doe and be done and then concentrate on the elk and bear!!!!i have been skunked the last 2 years aside from deer and turkey but hopefully that will change in a couple months.
