You know pronghorn is my favorite thing to hunt and eat. Im kinda depressed there is no season in North Dakota this year. Most people dont like pronghorn cuz of the nasty ones from MT. But the ones here in ND i think taste really good. Oh ya and you said your a meat hunter and that is really good. Myself im more of a trophy hunter(not that proud to say it but i rather eat beef), i run about 500 head of beef cattle so meat is not a big deal.
I've only had Montana and Idaho pronghorn.
How is yours from N. Dakota different?
Where I live there's no room for grazing due to land values and population density.
For everyone here beef is something that comes plastic wrapped in a styrofoam tray.

The ones iv shot were in miles city mt and they diet is mainly sage and tough native grasses, and in my opinion they did not taste as good to me. Where here in ND we have a lot of softer native grasses, tame grasses and alot of grain, so therefore in my opinion a better diet, therefore a better tasting meat. But i come from a ranch where we raise meat for quality so iv been called picky, meat snot, and whatnot so that is just my opinion.

PS that breaks my heart to hear that about how you get beef. Its hard for me as a rancher to hear thats how meat ends up.
Ya you should def give pronghorn a try. You know iv never had buffalo before. I guess it comes from my upbringing from my father. Every tim i asked him about it he would say " were got damn beef rancher we dont eat that. But that i how my father is, stubborn old german man.

buffalo is really lean and tastes similar to elk..however is has an interesting oder to it.. it doesnt stink but it dosent smell good either..kinda like venison in my opinion..
no bait baiting mean you not hunting just wait for a deer to show up! set up on a trail hunt the right way not the lazy new york style
You know maybe you should know a little more about diffrent huntin styles throught america. You have no idea the time i have invested in my deer hunting. I spend alot of time figuring out the deer trails and the way they work through my hunting spots and the cameras iv set up to figure out what time they go through. I know you think i just put it out there and they show up and i shoot them well thats not right. I do actuall put more though into my huntin than just puttin out a bait and shoot them.
