For about $100 more you could get a 6-position chip with better custom tunes on it.
Better for the truck, and you'll be happier in the long run. Just my opinion...
PHP, DP Tuner, or TW all do their own tunes and don't cost much more than the hypertech. Plus you can choose your tunes. I have stock, 1200rpm high idle, 35hp heavy tow, 60hp economy, 100hp performance, and 140hp extreme. With stock injectors you can only get about 75hp more out of it, so the 100hp and 140hp tunes won't do you much good unless you go to a stage I injector.
But you can get whatever tunes you want. They make a whisper tune for drive-thrus, fuel sipper tunes, smoke tunes, etc.
I went with PHP 6-pos chip and love it. The $100 more in price is far worth being able to choose your own tunes, plus a lot better then the canned tunes you will get on that hypermax.
Not sure on the FU. I have the Phoenix 6 position from PHP, and I love it.
The FU is a blank chip that comes with a burner, and you can select which tunes you want and then change them whenever wanted too. so it should be as good as the phoenix. Right?
