Trashed the motor!!

so a few moths ago i was having trouble with white smoke when it got up to temperature and finally the motor just locked and wouldn't turn. i didn't have time or money to mess with it for a while but i am pulling it out and dropping in a IDI out of a 93. i pulled my glow plugs and turned the motor over and got coolant out of all 8! not only that but i got 2 1/2 gallons of coolant out of the oil pan.

I will keep everyone posted when i find out what happened inside that engine.

thats cavitation bud. time to get a new engine, or have that cylinder sleeved. either way your lookin at some cash. its about 2500 to rebuild. you can keep driving it like that, just have to pull that glow plug before you crank it over. the cylinder will keep filling with water when its not being run. there are a lotta guy who just keep drivin til the motor craps out on them. i was one. i got 2 months outta mine after cavitation took its tole. just had a spare engine to throw in so i didnt wait.

There is no coolant flow through the intake, but it does block off several coolant passages in the heads.

Coolant in all 8 cylinders, that don't sound like cavitation to me.
