justin and jamie have been looking around and so have i, but i have yet to find a real lead on a house in abilene. its a pretty tough rental market. i have started the paperwork on getting a loan situated in case i can find something i want to buy.
anyone have any friends / relatives in this town? a hook up would be pretty sweet
I know a couple of people over there. I'll make a couple of phone calls in the next couple of days. You also might try Solomon to the west also. The closer you get the Ft. Riley, the tougher it may be to find something. Another option would be to buy a cheapy camper or 5th wheel and park it in the RV place on the south side of town. Just try to find one that is equiped for 4 seasons. You might be able to find something for 3-5 grand that would work. An older used one won't depreciate much either.
MaTt? AnY UpDaTeS? Did you find a place to live? You living at one of the mansions?
I used to have a friend that lived there on the main north and south road trough Abiline, Name of the street escape me now, he had the whole upstairs of the house (HUGE HOUSE), plus half the garage, seems like it was pretty reasonable priced at the time, but that was back in the 90's, and back before Big Red 1 came back.
I think the renting prices are pretty ridiculous over here from what I have heard from him and from what Jamie and I have seen. House prices on the other hand are pretty decent
