Fuel lock ring help!
I have an 1985/86 Cab and chassis F-350 with an O.E.M. plastic rear tank and need a new lock ring. The local dearer is no help, Says that they never used a plastic tank then. The truck has 31,000 orginal miles and I'm the second owner. IT's had NOTHING changed since new except tires! Until I've owned it.
Can anyone come up with a part number for me?

No the plastic one looks like a ring for a old mason jar except thats its made of plastic... the metal three tab type just wont work. I'm going to try a junk yard later this week to see if I can find anything close from something else.

Is this the right locking ring you need?
Sending Unit Lock Ring, 3 5/8"
This is for an aftermarket plastic rear tank. Don't know if it fits the factory tank or not.
