94.5 psd,Did a search and a little stumped.Truck stalled and no restart yesterday.Went threw fuses etc and changed fuel filter. While in there noticed the small screen plugged. After cleaning it truck fired up and was good for the evening. This morning decieded to properly clean screen before heading out as last night side of the road didn't really do a good job.Once again no start, have 35psi fuel pessure cranking,is that enough? Had no smoke at first but now have some while cranking and the tach does move to about 3-4 hundred also. Can't try a new cps as I gave my spare to a stranded fellow and haven't purchased a new one yet.Nothing open today to get one here on a sunday.Any ideas? Really could use the truck today to help a nieghbor who is disabled today get some hay in.
Thanks
Yes it is,i have a button on the dash i operate the glow plugs with though.Just got enough charge in it to try again and now does smoke pretty good after 10 sec. of cranking but fires every 20 seconds or so with a big puff of smoke but still no start.Possibly wasn't the screen cleaning yesterday that made it start, does the cps go bad and still register rpm on the tach? will soon be buying a new starter is this keeps up
thanks
more info,i cleaned battery cables etc as not much else i could do and it fired right up,idled for about a minute and acted like i would be turning the key on off a couple times and died, fired right up but after a couple of minutes same thing, can the cps act like that.won't start now so can't check much again and don't have a code reader out in the rural area here.
thanks
