Gene, check out this specification document for your truck:
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...0/BBFSD00A.PDF

Your dually should have a Dana 80, and the ring gear is 11.25". The columns in the chart are hard to make sense of, but I believe that's what you've got.

Your "RC11" is not a code found in our chart. Here is the chart:

Using the codes possible for your truck, see if you can find your code. You probably want to know the ratio and whether you have LS or not, but it should not matter WRT the cover. I'm not sure why they are even asking. Knowing it was a dually F350 should have been all they needed to know.

My last piece of advice is to email Ed from his site, and ask him to look it up for you. Find PartsGuyEd here:
www.partsguyed.com

He will get you the right part at the right price.

On a diff cover bolt you should have a ID tag that will give you that info. I'm not sure why they would need that just for the cover...?

That's correct. This is just a case of a parts counter guy not knowing that a dually takes the large cover.

This page shows the two covers that apply to an F350. The small one is SRW, the large one is DRW.

You want the large one.

I think you can get an OE Ford finned aluminum cover for the D80, I've seen them on new DRW trucks at the dealer.
