Yes. You missed calling me to go out on a test drive.
Sounds like you got a nice rig! That is awesome!!! Glad you got the garage door opener option, I will give you my code... feel free to park it here anytime. Just remember to drop off the keys so I can take it out for a spin keep the battery charged for ya.
Yes, a long bed for one. Short beds look ridiculous on a 3/4 ton truck. Leather? Really? Navigation? I don't want a car, I want a truck. Anyway, congrats.

I got a work truck that's stripped down long bed. If I had the $$$ and a real job I'd get a loaded short bed. It depends what you need it for, Shorts do better off road too.

Which is all your opinion. I for one like short beds because I don't need that added length of the 8' ft. in addition to my crew cab.

Right. I make fun of short beds all the time when they use it for strictly work. If I had one for a daily driver that I didn't need for work I would get a short bed.
My shortbed will pull a gooseneck just fine. Leather? It came with mine when I bought it used, but it does clean up easier when the pups are muddy. My navigation is the Garmin that sits on my dash, but it's still pretty handy. If I was getting a dually I'd definitely want a longbed, but otherwise a shorty works great for me.
I think you've ordered an awesome rig! I drove a 6.7 CC shorty a few weeks ago for fun, and MAN OH MAN are they quiet!!! Congrats!!
I would only buy a long bed period. Granted, I don't buy crew cabs, so the most my trucks are is a SuperCab LB. Either way, I have always thought a dinky little bed looks ridiculous and even more so with 4 doors. The only truck that looks good as a crew cab is a dually.

I only buy CrewCabs because I like the extra space and my 100lb Akita likes to have windows that roll down. I know, because he gets so happy he drools all down the side of the cab!!!

Again, your opinion. Go try to plow with a Crew Cab Long Bed or for that matter, try getting it on a lift or even in the garage with a lift. To me having the space for up to 6 people is much more important that an 8 fter.
Well, I don't need to plow as I live in a snow-free state for the most part. As I said I wouldn't have a CCLB. Reg cab long bed works just fine. After all, it is a truck and not a car. I have no reason to move more than 2 people at a time.

I can understand work trucks being work trucks, but not all trucks are meant for hardcore construction type of work. Some (like mine) are used on road trips hauling customer vehicles and such, and for that I highly recommend the "car" luxuries. I go out to the truck in the dead of winter, fire it up, turn on the tushy toasters, pop a half dozen CDs into the changer, crank the heat on, auto-defrost the mirrors, fold down the armrest on the captain's chairs, put it into drive and take to the road on automatic cruise control... nothing like it! If I were to ever get stuck I can just turn a **** to lock 'er in to 4WD. Sort of reminds me of King Of The Hill where Hank bought a new Super Duty with all of the toys. Plus they all add up when it comes time to resell. I would not waste my money on toys if I were to be in the market for a construction or contractor's rig, but most SD owners do not use their truck for this purpose only.

Good for you. I sometimes move 2 and a dog, or 3, or 4. My only other vehicles are 2 seaters. I plow in the winter and tow in the summer. I need the crew cab portion, but it is extremely difficult to plow with that long of a truck. I don't haul much as I have access to dump trucks. I like the leather appointments as well as the other nice features, because it can double as a luxury ride when not being used.
Your "idea" of what a truck is/should be, is relative to the use the owner has in mind.
BTW, shortbeds look nice on the Crew Cab 150's, and I am actually looking into a 2004+ body style CC SB for my girl to daily drive. I agree, I like the looks of a long bed on a Super Duty, but would not shy away from a short bed either, That being said, you may rarely use it, but it is so much nicer having the extra two feet for when you do need it. A 6 foot load in an 8 foot bed sure beats having to try to fit an 8 foot load in a six foot bed.
