Was asking $600 bucks, but with a di**head response like that I lost interest. The pictures he had sucked that was the reason I asked.
I would have simply replied "yes you are correct, any idiot who knows their trucks can tell the difference, but this is the fifth alleged D60 front that actually turned out to be a HD44. Your pictures are not good and its hard to tell whether or not I am buying a 44 or a 60." then procede to "negotiate" (ethnic slur removed) him down on the price because it probably needs to be rebuilt.

I agree. Buy a truck for the front axle, rob it, shove a drum brake HD44 under it, resell the truck for what you paid for it and get your axle for free.
