I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions on waterless coolant. It is a bit expensive but could be worth the cost if it works like hey say it does.
HE ALSO ADVOCATES RUNNING YOUR ENGINE HOTTER TO GET BETTER FUEL MILEAGE. NO THANKS1
It's ture your truck has a 185* t-stat if you put Dieselsites 203* t-stat you will get a little better fuel mileage. A lot of the guy's on here including me run the 203*
IMHO just keep your cooling system clean and fully charged with additives you shouldn't have any trouble. Most guys here use Motorcraft VC-8 from the dealer. If you still concerned you can add a coolant filter with or w/o the additive in it. I prefer to use it w/o because it adds to much.
The jury is still out on the 203 therm, some have experienced high failure rates. I'm going on 4 years w/o any trouble. It does give a little extra performance. Diesels like heat....up to a point of course.
