I installed my FP gauge today. My dash has an aftermarket lower section (this was a city truck), so I cut two plastic panels to fill the big holes where the radio equipment was before. On the sender, I used a 90 degree 1/8" NPT elbow to turn the sender where it would fit without rubbing anything. I used the blunt cut factory white wire to get from the sender to the gauge. I still have plenty of room on the dash panels for other gauges or switches or whatever comes up.
I also purchased this (and three others) and am happy with it. The only thing I did different was to buy the relocator hose from sinister. I did not like the idea of that HUGE sending unit hanging off the front filter bowl, it is heavy and it may break from vibration. It breaks....your done. Just my opinion.
Same...here is mine...been running as long as the date on the pics...can't remember...but zero issues or concerns. I bought my remote line from Sinister when they were still ITP. A local friend made his own with parts and hose from a local hose shop....saved a ton.

I did the relocator hose also.I'm happy with the gauge,no problems.
I just finished installing the fuel pressure gauge on my Excursion yesterday. After looking for a week for a 45 degree 1/8" fitting I gave up and went a different route.
I found a flex hose designed for grease guns. It is 36" long and has 1/8" NPT fittings on both ends. The hose is rated at 3000psi normal with 12,000psi burst. The hose is $9.99 at Tractor Supply.
I did the install without removing any components from the engine and routed the hose forward of the airfilter box around to the battery tray. It seems to work fine and will keep an eye on it!
