i cannot find where im havin fule issues. the lines are good and not rusted, and i am getting fule from the lift pump to the filter. i dropped the tank and cleaned out what was left of the rubber part of the sending unit, i also installed a new lift pump.
from the fule filter whitch is also new im gettin about a 1/3 o a pint in 10 seconds.
the truck will run fine for a while till it warms up. it will be runnin then will start pulsating as if loosing power. Then the truck compleatly shuts off.
Its benn getting worse and worse, the truck will only go a few feet now before dieing once it is warmed up.
This is my only truck and i have no clue what to do.
I love the 6.9l idi f250, but if i cant fix it this week im gonna have to sell or scrap it and get another truck.
Did you change the filter after you cleaned out the rear tank?
I would be interested in what the fuel flow and pressure numbers are once the engine is warm.
How long does it have to sit before it will restart?
What year is this truck?
Do you get the same results with the front tank?
When it starts missing, have you ever loosened the fuel tank cap?
The older fuel caps were not vented.
There are vents on both fuel tanks that can get clogged if you spend much time off road.
That causes a vacuum in the tank and the engine runs out of fuel.
