223 engine gaskets

Hi All.

Autozone ( AutoZone.com | Get In The Zone! ) has complete engine sets for the 223 for $43.99. They have to be ordered but that price is unbeatable for new gaskets. The part number is FS7994PT-4. These sets include early and late valve cover gaskets.

The head set by itself is $48.99 ...go figure.

Jim

ps: I do not work for Autozone

I tried getting that set for my eng rebuild about a month ago....they were out and they were unavailable at the manufacturer....so I had to get mine on line at Rock Auto for considerably more since i needed them right away.

NAPA can't get them at all, Rock Auto shows to be able to get them... if you find them, buy 2!!

Rockauto showed them for $64.99. Autozone showed them as unavailable 'til just a couple of days ago. I ordered (and paid for) mine yesterday morning at my local store and picked them up today

These are Felpro, not generic

I will probably buy a second set as soon as the dust settles from all the parts I've bought in the last two weeks. (totally new brake sys including stainless lines, all new engine, tranny and t-case mounts, gaskets & seals, rims &tires)

....of course that's assuming they don't figure this out and raise the price.
