Just bought a 2010 F150 Lariat Super Crew last week, have 600 miles on it. Has every option available. Problem is windshield wipers have a mind of their own. Drove it home parked it for few hours. Went to leave with it on a weekend trip, wipers came on by themselves. Multi function switch is in "off" position. No time to take to dealer, as going on weekend trip. Called dealer service Manager, said to pull 30 amp fuse under hood in #49 block, to kill power to wipers. No problem, no rain. Dropped off truck Monday at Dealer to fix problem. They replaced multi function switch. Drove approx. 6 miles down road, wipers came on by themselves again. Pulled fuse #49 again... Called Dealer on the spot just before closing time. Truck is packed and ready to go on another weekend trip. Then Monday back to Dealer, once again. Anyone have similar problem, that can give me some insight into what the problem is? The truck DOES NOT have rain sensing wipers, that option is only available on Platnumn edition. Thanks
Years ago the Ranger's had a problem with "Phantom" wipers... my '99 was plagued with it for about a month in a half- before I could take it up to the dealer for them to replace the same part they did with yours...
What are the chances of two MFS being bad? I think its time for someone to start tracing down wires and contact points...
