Thanks, I didn't see the button. Still looks pretty nice. Might be another option if my shifter gets really bad and want to go that route. I have replaced the shifter column piece that the shifter handle mounts to twice since 92. Getting good at it now though.

Floor Shifter

Where did you find a floor shifter for you truck. I am looking but have not found anything.

As stated above Lokar has some really nice shifters for our trucks with a good choice of ***** and price ranges. John

Hurst Pro-Matic 2, for a truck (longer arm). I put a generic T handle on it. Words can't describe how much fun I have with this thing.

does that lokar have a safey system so it cannot be
accidentally bumped from drive to reverse?

When I was building my 68 F100, the Lokar was going to be my shifter of choice. Unfortunately, it was sold before it was completed. It helped pay for my 74 F100 4x4 build. I installed a NP435 in the 74, so no Lokar is needed.

jsut wondering if anybody has done this ona 4x4 ? and if so how did it fit with/around the t case shifter.

One reason I like a shifter with a base.... I can mount stuff to it.

I think any of these shifters would work with a 2wd or 4wd. On a 4wd, the transfer case shifter should be to the left side of the transmission hump and the trans shifter should sit closer to center.

No. 2wd. This is better pics of my install which I posted above. Electric fan switch + LED Indicator and wideband O2 gauge will be going there as well. Why would a 4wd be different? Mount it to the side of the lever.

AK FORD GUY: that is what i was thinking.

psquare7575: i just wanted to make sure that the 4x4 selector lever would not be in the way of a floor shifter.

thanks both you guys for your input, i broke my column shifter so i was thinking instead of getting another column i would go floor shifter route.
