Shackle bushing nightmare

My rear shackle completely broke off on my truck (damn rust!) and I'm replacing it.

First, the nut was giving me some trouble. I had to use map gas, then pb blaster, then map gas, then pb blaster, and the nut zipped off with my impact.

The bolt was seized in the bushing. I torched a bunch of the rubber on both sides, enough for it all to get hot. After some persuasion, the bolt popped out and shortly after the rubber poked out too.

Now, I have the outer casing left, and I swear it's going to be the death of me. I chiseled at it for a bit, but it's just not budging. I tried to fit a plethora of saws in there, but I dont have enough room. I dont want to remove the leaf, so I dont have to replace the other side and the U-bolts as well.

Any suggestions? I'm planning on renting a ball joint press and trying my luck with that.

Thanks!
